The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 观感比较套路行活儿，倒数时刻的寓意似乎中途从三十而立危机转向了生命易逝、友谊可贵等方向，AIDS的打断又让人串戏到加菲的《天使在美国》……

歌好听，加菲演技好绝，梦想很美好也很残酷，幸而我们见证了一个梦想的成功，同时也为那些曾经奋斗过但没有实现的梦想鼓掌。

叙事是片段式的，对于不了解传记片主人公的观众会觉得混乱。用音乐串起情绪效果很好。加菲的表演其实不够深入，演唱部分倒是卖力。
不新鲜，不讨喜

怎么能做到这么难看的，安德鲁加菲尔德演技也很浮夸。看到在快餐厅自嗨那段戏真是受不了了，创作者是不是觉得这样很酷？这样的片子怎么配跟爱乐之城相提并论的？
没有《吉屋出租》乃至百老汇的基础储备，要入戏确实有些障碍，就叙事性来说，根本和《爱乐之城》没法比，确实很难称为电影，又不是音乐剧，某些地方是情景剧的处理手法，总体更接近实景补拍完整的NT live，加菲全程表现高光，感觉比他之前演的电影都要来劲，巨投入，也许这就是舞台艺术的魅力吧。
