The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 故事非常完整，好于以往任何类似情节的片子。女主演技一流。
到底是谁更疯？19世纪的法国贵族小姐被家人送进精神病院。其实她并没有疯，但她在这家病院被长期折磨，已经到了快要疯的边缘。病院的护士长与她投缘，帮助她逃离苦海，自己却被抓住成为了病人。两个女人在不同的地方同时脱衣服那段我很喜欢，那紧绷的被长长的绳索捆住的马甲是男权社会强加给女人的枷锁，不脱透不过气，脱则需要耗费全身力气。精神病院的化装舞会这场戏非常精彩，“正常人”来到这个舞会取乐，喝醉酒后更是群魔乱舞。“正常人”病态的好奇心以及趁乱猥亵和强奸病人的变态行为比女病患们更加疯癫，可是女人们只能被蹂躏，那是男权、父权和夫权的时代。
ps:反转有点意外。
自以为从窗户上窥探了别人的生活，就有资格妄图去改变人家的生活，结果把自己生活一团糟，才发现其实自己才是被窥视的对象
结局有点意思，你站在桥上看风景，看风景的人也在看你！
本哈迪帅的来，女主身材爆好，剧情什么的不重要。
妖魔化有天分的女性，再割掉她们的舌头，打入父权制牢笼。
好无聊的一个故事，但是几个演员都真的太好看了

虽然觉得不要反转可能会更好，但是这个反转还挺……适度的。
服道化和配乐以及摄影都很美，影片氛围感强烈，是我喜欢的类型。疯女人的舞会，狗男人的狂欢。
Ben Hardy在这部里真是艳福不浅，摸了无数的奶。Sydney Sweeney越看越像Billie Eilish。一切皆因女主欲求不满和多管闲事而起，看似被人操纵，其实自己要进套。杀小黑哥和反杀真的扯了，这个地方不存在police和detective吗？大家都不会报警的吗？
情色片的壳，惊悚片的肉，伦理片的核，97年的女主非常匹配这个角色，又人畜无害身材颜值又顶，整体光影氛围也都到位，片子想表达的东西不多，也基本表达到位了
偷窥能拍出新意真是件不容易的事情，简单就是偷窥大战呀，男友死得也太冤了！
互相偷窥互相伤害，你家不拉窗帘我家也不拉窗帘。结尾的毒杀设定和复仇情节略显多余，降解了对女主情欲烧身又同情心泛滥的多面体内心的塑造，同时将伊索寓言的寓意也降格了。
剧情什么的也就这样马马虎虎吧，女主的身材是真的好啊
1DIY自制露天电影院看狗血家庭剧真人秀，不过票价真很昂贵。2为了保持一段关系的长久，为了粉饰这段关系温馨和谐的表象而长期忽视自己的内心需求，压抑欲望，久而久之对人产生的负面影响是很大的，一旦生活中出现诱惑，就会比常人更容易走火入魔理智崩溃无法自拔。3精神空虚能量过剩的人什么都做得出来。4女主演长得好看，但演得很浮夸，也许是导演关系，在“白莲花度假村”里她就比较正常。被偷窥的那对俊男靓女也是，模特颜值路人演技。5偷窥梗很老，也没玩出任何不同的感觉，结局又还是崩坏的，所以两星不能更多。
那麼
又是一部静帧比正片精彩的电影，视听优秀，问题在故事。主题的过分先行导致的人物凝滞，能猜到若是让创作者写一篇控诉父权社会对女性精神层面的规训与压迫的命题作文一定洋洋洒洒，但落实到故事层面就不是那么回事了。“被指认为女巫”为核心概念的女性题材并不少见，可在此片中不管是人物还是情节并未看到更多在此基础上的创新，唯一的创新大概是双女主戏最终护士代替女主留在了精神病院的结局，但前面的双女主的人物关系的悬浮感让最后的反转失掉了可信度。而悬浮感则来源于女主，人物本身迟滞不前，没有人物弧光，好像情节的发展并未对她有什么影响，她自始至终都是一个见谁都说自己能看到鬼魂的正常人：我明白创作者想藉由女主之口完成对于鬼神的思辨命题，但深挖人物会发现她不真实，更不符合生活逻辑。女主和画面都很美，但可惜我没有法式滤镜。
