The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 全片最不意外的就是女主和摄影师必会上床，但明明可以有一百种收尾的方法导演选了个最烂最玄幻的，直接把前半段营造的氛围和高级感打破沦为三流悬疑片，逻辑难自洽。
电影的前5/3比较烂俗，而且有一些会让你想急速吐槽的点，但是请忍住！后半个小时急风暴雨般的反转绝对能回本。诚然，当风平浪静之后，细细回想这个故事，与其说是惊悚片更像一个都市寓言和对当今环境的讽刺，再佐以一些情色场景的点缀让你不要太早退出。
比想象中要好看很多，反转再反转，一开始以为是后窗套路，没想到玩出了花样
网大出品的上等片，低配版副作用，反转无趣，引诱有趣。
法国女导演自编自导自演的女性反压迫电影，色调镜头音乐舞美都极为细腻和用心，两个女主的演绎也情绪饱满恰如其分。疯子很多时候是所谓"正常人”的迫害所致，而正常人往往都是集体发疯的“疯子”。这个结局说明了男权社会下的女人无论怎样都是某种悲剧。如果能把两个女主的情感焦灼再刻画的深入一些或许会更好。法国演员好像由内而外酒散发着某种特质。
前面还行，后面结局实在太拉胯了，复仇的部分实在多余
有几个疑点感觉太儿戏了，激光反射过来直接变成语音这个不很扯么？打印机怎么隔着大楼打印文件呢？男主的突然暴走感觉是为了剧情而剧情的，不够自然，还有其他的小漏洞，但是谁让女主身材真的顶呢？结局也不错，总体值得一看
你以为是在偷窥对方，其实是对方让你以为的。
女主身材真的是太厉害了，另外这剧情真的是强行反转
算是借鉴到了《后窗》和《登堂入室》，想要表达的主题其实很贴近当下社会，在对别人的生活津津乐道的时候，有没有想过对自己的意义在哪里？只是没有一个角色讨喜，确实真真切切地展现出了人性的黑暗面。而最终的复仇也没能达到观众期待的高潮，其实反转还挺容易猜到的。
看到中间这也太无聊了吧 后续反转还可以 加一星
可是就是片子中前段智商和片尾完全不是一个人
第一个反转力道很足，意想不到，我以为女主会跟他没羞没臊的快乐生活下去，是我低俗了。到第二个反转的时候就有些画蛇添足了，本可以在此就戛然而止的，留给观众的空间会大一些。这样直接把答案抛出来了，就没有探讨的滋味了。
